Martin Luther King Jr. Day has taken on a whole new meaning this year, paired seredipitously on consecutive days with Barack Obama's inauguration. There's a distinct patriotic feeling to it that has me putting out the flag. It seems so appropriate to be patriotic today, as we have come so much closer to the original Jefferson ideal "All men are created equal" and to MLK Jr.'s dream.
