Summer Adventures

Here are some photos of our summer trips. We start with the weekend at Mt. Rainier with Mom and Dad. This is the ranger station. The winter snows come up to the 2nd story windows! This part of the park had only been open a few weeks when we were there in mid-July due to the snow.

This is a view from up the trail of the ranger station (lower left hand side) and Mt. Rainier in the background. It was an awesome view! Where we were standing there was a mound of snow about 5 ft high!

This is a close-up of the mountain Ward was able to get from the same vantage-point.

OK, now we switch gears to Kathryn and her friend having fun at the playground. This place was the highlight of their week, and included a stop at the doughnut shop on the walk from daycare!

This is a stump in the backyard at daycare with 2 of her friends. They love to climb and have no fear!

Here we are back in May, visiting Ward's family in Chicago. Kathryn's having a ball in Aslex and Ashleigh's basement.
